YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
01 How long does the tour last?

The experience lasts approximately 60-75 minutes. Belfast traffic and events can occasionally affect the journey time.

02 Where does the tour depart from?

We depart from High Street in Belfast city centre, close to the Albert Clock. Your booking confirmation includes the exact boarding point, map and arrival instructions.

03 What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure so we can check your booking and get everyone comfortably seated. The bus needs to leave on time and cannot wait for late arrivals.

04 What does the route include?

Our route takes you from High Street towards the Titanic Quarter, Belfast City Hall and Queen's University before heading towards the Peace Wall in West Belfast and Crumlin Road Gaol, then returning to the city centre. The exact route can change when traffic, road closures, parades or events require it.

05 Is this a hop-on, hop-off tour?

No. This is one continuous sightseeing and afternoon tea experience, so once you're aboard, all you need to do is sit back and enjoy it.

06 What is included in my ticket?

Your ticket includes the sightseeing experience, live commentary from our local guide, afternoon tea served by our onboard host and a selection of hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks.

07 Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options can be requested in advance. Please add dietary requirements when booking. Guests with allergies or medical dietary needs should contact us before booking.

08 Can I bring my own food or drink?

We ask guests not to bring outside food or drink onboard unless this has been agreed with us in advance for a medical or infant requirement.

09 Is the bus wheelchair accessible?

Our Routemaster was built in 1963, so accessibility is more limited than on a modern bus. There are steps at the entrance and a staircase to the upper deck. Unfortunately, the vehicle is not wheelchair accessible and there is no onboard accessible toilet. Please contact us before booking if you have mobility or accessibility requirements and we'll talk you through the experience and what assistance we can provide.

10 Can I bring a pram or luggage?

Storage on a vintage Routemaster is limited. If you need to bring a folded pram, mobility aid or large luggage, please contact us in advance.

11 Are children welcome?

Absolutely. Child tickets are available for guests aged 3-15, and children must travel with a responsible adult.

12 Will we sit together?

We do our best to seat everyone on the same booking together. Seating is allocated around the bus layout and group sizes, so we cannot guarantee a particular table, seat or deck.

13 What happens if I am late?

Our tour has to leave at the scheduled time, so unfortunately we cannot hold the bus for late arrivals. Late arrival or failure to attend is normally treated as a no-show and is non-refundable.

14 Can I change or cancel my booking?

Bookings are non-refundable, but where availability allows we may be able to move your booking when enough notice is given. Please see our Terms & Conditions for full details.

15 What happens if Belfast Original Tea Tours cancels a tour?

If we have to cancel a departure, we'll offer you a suitable alternative date or a refund in line with our Terms & Conditions.

16 Do tours operate in bad weather?

Of course - this is Belfast! Normal Belfast weather doesn't stop the tea. We will only cancel or change a departure if weather, road or safety conditions make it unsuitable to operate.

17 Can we book the whole bus?

Private hire is not part of our initial scheduled service, but you're very welcome to contact us about future group and private booking options.

Ready To Take Your Seat?

Pick your date, choose your departure time and tell us who's coming. Then all that's left to do is turn up, take your seat and enjoy Belfast.
